The Medtronic Retail store is situated inside the main corporate office, located across the main assembly hall. The design addresses the culture of waiting rooms as used by individuals to break away from their labs and office cubicles. The undulating surface is designed to allow users to sit on the wall with various postures while they wait for the conference. The offset of the wooden studs is perforated to expose the retail behind the surface.
