This studio aims to explore new ideas about landscape and its relationship to the practice of architecture. This project is a proposal for the new Architecture Department at UCLA. To create an architecture as a landscape for the existing campus, the nature of the student body was examined. The circulation diagram across campus directed the orientation of the building to sustain that path of travel. The public corridors meander through the architectural galleries and studios, while the structural system creates a setback for more private classrooms. This building aims to contribute to the diverse learning environment influenced by students across campus.
