Scholar's Residence | 202 Studio - Spring 2004 | Critic: Matthew Mindrup
Site: Einsiedeln, Switzerland
Adjacent to the Werner Oecheslin library designed by Mario Botta, The Scholars’ Residence provides a place for visiting scholars to stay and study. The building cascades down a hillside in a wet climate. It responds to the element of water. Water is gathered at the highest point in the hills and cascades through the site, transforming the “pods” as the water moves through the project.
