The Kwakiutl Cultural Center is designed as a center for the celebration of Kwakiutl culture past and present. Sited in the heart of Kwakiutl ancestral lands, the building is a modern reflection of traditional Kwakiutl architecture and a symbolic representation of the year-long cycle of Kwakiutl life and customs. Traditional Kwakiutl symbols are reinterpreted in a modern way.
