Site: 14th St.. NW, Washington, DC
The Wassily Kandinsky Museum is meant to house his artwork as well as reflect his artwork through the architecture of the building. Kandinsky’s work was influenced by his interpretations of the psychology of colors. To him, colors exhibited depth, sound, texture, and feeling. The building exhibits these same feelings through the depths of spaces and the careful control of light.
