The project was to design a high-end hardscape for a large scale retail center, unusual for this type of development. A modern design with classic looking materials was chosen to soften aesthetics. "Trick" design methods were also employed to minimize the scale of the architecture for the pedestrian. Site planning, extensive engineering coordination, client advocacy with development board, and coordination with a third party landscape architect were additional services rendered beyond the hardscape design. This project was featured in the February 2009 issue of Landscape Architect and Specifier News.
