A complete park functional analysis led to redesign of the core of the park. New features were added, such as a lazy river, large play structure, and additional lounge space for the wave pool. Also, the park was redesigned to accommodate four season use, as Mountain Creek is also a ski resort. The 'mill pond' river can be used for skating, the shops can remain open, a hot tub is converted into a fire pit, and the paths can be used for ski trails. The real challenge was making the park, located on the slope of a ski mountain, ADA accessible, which this plan does. Also, a first-of-its-kind indoor waterside dark ride was designed for the underside of the wave pool deck extension. This plan has not progressed past the concept phase.
