Competition submission for the Helsinki Central Library. The central concept was two solid egg shaped forms housed within a glass envelope; the two forms create a dialogue between the traditional library and the new library based on digital technology. This dialogue within the building acknowledges the library as a typology that is fast evolving to no longer house books but rather a rare public space that evolves around sharing knowledge, the spaces are conceived as communal and open rather than isolated.
