Urban Planning and Ecological Infrastructure design for 77 sq.kms. around South Lake in YueYang, Hunan province. The project also involved the urban design of 1 sq.km. of a key waterfront district. This detailed urban core required the introduction of residential and mixed uses along the waterfront, providing a diverse range of housing stock for the city in close proximity to its historical core while paying careful attention to the ecological parameters of the waterfront site itself.

The final proposal paid attention to the existing topography, water systems and wetlands and proposed urban development that would minimize damage to its ecological system.
