Liupanshui is the second largest city in the Guizhou province, located in South China. Though Guizhou is one of the poorest provinces in China, Liupanshui is a fairly prosperous city owing to the large cola deposits in the area.
The site is next to a wetland park recently constructed and increasingly popular with the residents. This project aimed at exploiting the park’s popularity and redeveloping its adjacent land to create new public spaces, iconic architectural landmarks and residential fabric. This area would become a magnet to attract investments from the city’s affluent class.
The proposal included high-end luxury villas set in a wetland landscape, mid-rise townhouses, a commercial street centered around water and a private club - all designed around the central theme of the wetland park and the scenic Karst landscape around the site.
