A space which combines the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese tea room, creating a room which offers relaxation and a space to work in an urban setting. The room also makes use of tatami flooring, allowing for one very important aspect of traditional Japanese design, that of touch. The feel of tatami as you walk or slide your hand over it offers a sense of relaxation and connection to the space. More unique is the installation of vertical tatami mats, serving as a back rest as one seats on the floor. Finally, the design of the sliding doors allow for multiple positions, providing improved control of views, ventilation and illumination.
