This project replaces an outdated primary school in the same site. The primary school utilizes a distribution scheme of three courtyards to organize the circulation of the different age groups. These courtyards are surrounded by porticos which provide the primary access route through the school. The entrance courtyard serves public events and is linked to office functions, the restaurant, and sport hall. Adjacent to the public courtyard, a small green courtyard offers the youngest group an intimate open space. The largest courtyard houses the outdoor playground and integrates the two eldest school groups with the neighborhood. Large skylights are placed in each classroom; giving a strong character to the roof and emphasizing the learning atmosphere with a spot overhead light.
