Embassy residential building was designed by ARUP and completed by TAMA co. for the Australian embassy in Iraq. The project was opened in 2011. This 2 story building contains 13 apartments for high officials who work in the Australian embassy. Each apartment has 2 floors (9,800 sq. ft.each) with a skylight on the roof , the first floor includes the entrance, living room, a study room, kitchen and bathroom while the second floor which overlooks the first floor has 1-3 bedrooms (depends on the apartment size). The exterior walls made of concrete with no openings for security purposes and were backfilled with sand in some parts of the building. The utilities of the building placed on the top of the concrete roof and covered by a complete structure of sandwich and polycarbonate panels
