This design proposal was made for my summer studio in 2010. The municipal of University City of St. Louis in collaboration with Sam Fox School of Design Washington University in St Louis had an idea in adding more shelter to accommodate He Man Park's visitors during summer time. Occupancy rate of existing shelters is quite high and many park's visitors come during summer and fall.

This Garden Shelter is a design and built studio. My design came from my interest on how space can be created from furniture configuration of the shelter. By interlocking the structural columns in the bench tables, many different space configurations were created when bench's tables were pivoting around the columns.
