To design the leasehold improvements for the new FEMA Caribbean Distribution Center

facilities in a lease area of approximately 83,000 square feet.  The New facilities are located 

within the 405,000 square feet of San Juan Industrial Park Main Building originally designed by 

UNIPRO back in 2007.  

The leasehold improvements included a vented warehouse of approximately 65,000 ft.2, an air 

conditioned meals storage of approximately 7,300 square feet and an office/administrative area 

of approximately 8,500 sq. ft..

As part of the design requirements, the new facilities were designed and constructed to obtain the 

US Green Building Council ® - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design ® (LEED) 

minimum certification level for Commercial Interiors.
