A five-member jury has selected the winner of the Town Branch Commons Design Competition in Lexington, Kentucky. The brief calls for the creation of a long, serpentine park following the path of a historic stream in downtown Lexington.
From a shortlist of five finalists, the entry "Reviving Town Branch" by SCAPE / Landscape Architecture team was chosen as the winning proposal.

OMA has been awarded the first place in the international design competition for the Essence Financial Building in Shenzhen, China. OMA Partners David Gianotten and Rem Koolhaas are heading the project which they intend to be a new generation office tower for Shenzhen. — bustler.net

With the winners of the New York and Rome editions of the Young Architects Program (YAP) already unveiled, the first-ever YAP Istanbul Modern winner has now also been selected: the temporary installation Sky Spotting Stop by young design firm SO? The winners of the 34th Annual Interiors Awards, presented by Contract magazine, have been unveiled. DawnTown, well known for its annual design ideas competitions for Miami, has announced the winner of its inaugural Design/Build competition. Over 110 submissions competed to design a low cost, temporary installation on the topic of Evolution in Miami. From a narrowed-down list of 16, the jury finally selected the international collaboration between Manuel Clavel-Rojo (Murcia, Spain) and Jacob Brillhart (Miami, Florida) as the winners. — bustler.net
