Wiels Arets Architects recently won the competition to design the Europaallee 'Site D' building in Zurich. The building features repurposeful office and retail space with future plans for a conversion into residential units. The winners for the TIMBER New England Design + Fabrication competition were recently announced on TIMBER's website. Entrants had to propose a site specific installation inspired by traditional New England building and crafting, using engineered lumber or heavy timber. The new Raiffeisen Bank branch designed by NAU Architecture and Drexler Guinand Jauslin Architekten was completed this past May in the historical city center of Schaffhausen, Switzerland, after the design won first place in a competition back in May 2012.
