The annual Dutch Design Awards announced its 2013 winners last weekend in the three main categories of Spatial, Communication and Product. After winning first prize in a 2009 international competition, Henning Larsen Architects' Kolding Campus building for the University of Southern Denmark is full of sustainable features. Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) won the RIBA competition to design the new London Police Headquarters, as announced by the Mayor of London, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, and RIBA on Oct. 14. Spanish architects Antonio Cruz and Antonio Ortiz of Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos have been presented the Abe Bonnema Architecture Award for their outstanding renovation of Amsterdam's historic Rijksmuseum. The prestigious Dutch award is granted biannually to an architect that designed a building of 'remarkable high quality architecture.'
