International Design Competition for the Changdong Station Transit Complex Center

"The goal of this competition is to develop a new concept for the complex center that integrates public transportation transit facilities, apartments, offices, and commercial spaces within District 2 of the Chang-dong urban development zone, to inspire creative designs that align with the 'Comprehensive Concept Plan for the Urban and Architectural Spaces of Seoul for the next 100 years.', and to select the optimal design that revitalizes urban regeneration and promotes residential welfare from functional, social, and economic perspectives."

"The City of New Westminster is committed to addressing the housing crisis and taking bold action on climate, including changing the way we plan for growth. We hope you will join us now to create a climate-friendly neighbourhood around the 22nd Street SkyTrain Station where everyone can thrive. [...] Entry is open to everyone – community members, students, youth, designers, urban development professionals, climate thought leaders, and everyone in between. Entrants can participate individually or in groups. Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged."
2024 American Architecture Awards
Registration/Submission Deadline: Thursday, February 1, 2024
"Criteria for submissions includes any commercial, corporate, institutional, or residential building type or urban planning project, built or unbuilt in the U.S. since January 1, 2021. Unbuilt projects are eligible only when a client is named. Building types and categories are: corporate headquarters and office facilities, retail, hospitality, institutional, health care, government, transportation, educational, and residential and interiors of any kind, including renovations and restorations, and urban planning projects. Previously awarded buildings by the Museum are not eligible."
Harvard GSD - Wheelwright Prize 2024
Registration/Submission Deadline: Sunday, February 4, 2024
"The annual Wheelwright Prize is dedicated to fostering expansive, intensive design research that shows potential to make a significant impact on architectural discourse. The prize is open to emerging architects practicing anywhere in the world. The primary eligibility requirement is that applicants must have received a degree from a professionally accredited architecture program in the past 15 years. An affiliation with the GSD is not required. Applicants are asked to submit a portfolio and research proposal that includes travel outside the applicant’s home country."
