The Architectural League of New York has opened its online exhibition featuring original work by the six winning designers and studios of the 2023 League Prize for Young Architects + Designers.
Titled Uncomfortable, the exhibition will be complemented by a series of lectures and interviews reflecting on the winners’ interpretations of the 2023 competition, which asked entrants to “examine their discomforts as young designers.”
“From digital animations of built projects to hand-constructed models of speculative digital designs, Uncomfortable offers the public a series of new dynamic encounters with the 2023 winners’ work,” the exhibition organizers said. “Though presented entirely online, the featured projects unsettle the boundaries between the physical and the digital, remixing and disorienting familiar modes of architectural presentation.”
