Winners of the 2022 Brick in Architecture Awards have been announced by the Brick Industry Association (BIA) for the 34th consecutive year.
The awards celebrate innovations in the material and the skillful application of craft in architectural designs, which this year hailed from the United States, Australia, Canada, China, and Germany, collectively. A total of 45 projects were awarded in Gold, Silver, and Bronze categories, with nine projects selected as the ‘Best in Class’ winners for their respective categories.
“Brick can create virtually anything as an inherently sustainable material with limitless design options, superior durability, fire resistance and energy savings,” BIA President and CEO Ray Leonhard said in a statement.
This year’s contest saw the addition of a new ‘Think Brick’ category. The full list of winners can be viewed here. An archive of past year’s awards can also be found by clicking on this link to the BIA website.
