Here are the 16 winners of this year’s RIBA International Awards for Excellence
The National Memorial for Peace and Justice in Montgomery, Alabama by MASS Design Group.
RIBA has announced its slate of winners of the biennial International Awards for Excellence.
16 projects from 11 different countries were selected for their ability to “exemplify design excellence and architectural ambition and deliver meaningful social impact.”
This year’s winners are defined by a commitment to historical context, an inkling toward multi-use designs, and an ability to tackle pre-existing environmental concerns in innovative ways that leave open the possibility for sustained vitality in such uncertain times when prognostications should indicate otherwise.
