2020 Vanceva World of Color Awards

2020 Vanceva World of Color Awards is inspired by the liberal use of Vanceva Color Interlayer System in both exterior and interior architecture and design. Professional architects, interior designers, glass fabricators, engineers and other industry professionals are invited to submit their projects. This international design competition spotlights the use of colored laminated safety glass in building design and interior spaces around the world. The entry deadline to submit basic project information is Saturday, February 29 at 11:59 pm CST. There are no entry fees.
International Competition of Ideas for the multifunctional center, Port of Cultures, in Mariupol (UA)

Municipality of Mariupol (UA) invites architects, designers and interdisciplinary teams to submit architectural ideas for a new multifunctional center that will be devoted to the subject of migration, a process that has shaped the city throughout the centuries, becoming an integral part of its identity. We are looking for bold and authentic architectural idea for the Port of Culture, that will represent the values and the main themes of the new center, as well as accommodate the diverse exhibition, educational and public programs.
2020 Norman Foster Travelling Scholarship

Applications are welcomed from students around the world who are enrolled in, and have successfully completed, the first year of a professional qualification in architecture in one of the higher education institutions invited to participate. A £7,000 grant will be awarded to one winner, which will be decided by a panel of judges including Lord Foster and RIBA President Alan Jones. The scholarship, supported by the Norman Foster Foundation, is intended to fund international research on a topic related to the sustainable survival of our towns and cities, in a location of the student’s choice.

The Qasar Al Sarab Protected Area covers 1304 square kilometers in which the Arabian Oryx roams freely; and the Arabian Oryx Protected Area, which covers 5975 square kilometers, is home to the largest population of Arabian Oryx in the world. In order to maintain public interest in these amazing creatures, and allow the public to view them up close, the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD) are looking to create a series of sustainable visitor lodges that can be positioned throughout the protected area. The key design feature would need to be sustainability, in such sensitive natural environments, the visitor lodges must not have a negative impact on the environment of the protected areas or any species living within.
