A wide selection of new tall build buildings, urban planning schemes, and engineering innovations has been unveiled as Award of Excellence Winners in the annual Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat awards program.
Projects in the "Best Tall Building" track were recognized in the five height thresholds: under 100 meters, 100–199 meters, 200–299 meters, 300–399 meters, and 400 meters and above. The "Best in Category" winners will be chosen next April at CTBUH's 2020 Tall + Urban Innovation Conference in Chicago.
Gaining recognition in more than one category were Miami's One Thousand Museum and the recently opened Beijing Leeza SOHO tower with its record-setting tall atrium, both designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, Raffles City Chongqing by Moshe Safdie's firm, Lakhta Center by RMJM, and the SOM-designed 1,740 ft/530.4 m tall Tianjin CTF Finance Centre among others.
