The 24 finalists of the 2019 Architectural Photography Awards

As part of the World Architecture Festival's yearly program, the Architectural Photography Awards celebrate the year's best architectural photography from around the globe. For its 2019 edition, the competition garnered a whopping 2,000 entries from 42 countries. Now, the competition pool has been narrowed down to a shortlist of just 24 finalists. 

Four finalists were shortlisted in each of the four main categories: Exteriors, Interiors, Sense of Place, and Buildings in Use. In the Portfolio category, judges will evaluate entries of six photos relating to one architectural project within the theme of social housing. 

Photos competing in the Mobile category (photos taken on a mobile device) are exploring the theme of shelter, and two winners (a judges' choice and people's choice) will be selected. Voting for the people's choice winner is open now until Friday, December 6.

The photographer of the overall winning image from the four main categories will receive a cash prize of $3,000. The Portfolio winner will win $1,000, while the two Mobile winners will receive $250 each.
