BIO 26: Designathon Open Call

The Museum of Architecture and Design is launching an open call for participation in the 26th Biennial of Design, BIO 26 – Common Knowledge. BIO 26 will take on one of the greatest challenges of our time: information. Concerned with the widespread crisis in information, BIO 26 seeks to harvest the best ideas that explore ways to creatively take charge and react to it, as well as to propose experiments and present alternatives to the ways we currently deal with information and knowledge.
4th EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL BIM CONTEST
Registration Deadline: Sunday, Jun 30, 2019
Submission Deadline: Sunday, Sep 1, 2019
The 2019 BIM Competition asks applicants to work on a mythic site: the district of the Pyramids. Candidates will have to deliver a digital model of a socio-cultural center. The 4th edition raises more strongly than before the question of the urban and the social context: what kind of architecture for which site? Which programmatic proposal for which district? What proposition for accompanying the renovation of a “housing development”?
Triumph Pavilion 2020: Discovery
Register/Submit Deadline: Friday, Sep 27, 2019
The challenge is to design a temporary, freestanding, transportable and contemporary showcase Pavilion to be installed in the Museum Gardens based on this year’s Triumph Pavilion theme of "Discovery", hence the Pavilion will be entitled "Discovery Pavilion". The theme focuses on triggering an inquisitive spirit in finding out more, learning how, realization how, detecting how and why, determining why, revealing and disclosing elements of the concept, form and relation to space.
