120 HOURS 2019

Registration is now open for 120 HOURS 2019! 120 HOURS distinguishes itself by giving student participants just 5 days, i.e. 120 hours, from the announcement of the brief to its deadline. The assignment this year still remains a secret and will not be released until the start of the competition, April 1st. But it has been announced that this year the winning proposal will be further developed in cooperation with Snøhetta.
BOUNDARIES - Open Call 2019 - RIBA Architecture Gallery

The RIBA is inviting practicing architects and students to design a temporary installation for the Architecture Gallery at the RIBA Headquarters at 66 Portland Place. This open call asks for responses to the theme Boundaries, on the occasion of the 2019 London Festival of Architecture; the RIBA wishes to explore examples of boundaries that have been raised, broken or challenged.
Carnival: Hello Wood 10th International Summer School and Festival

For its tenth year running, Hello Wood is once again hosting its popular international summer school for young architects to help foster a “thinking through making” mentality. The architecture and design studio is putting out an open call for the jubilee event, which is themed around the folklore tradition of Carnival and will give would-be attendees an opportunity to pitch what they feel are the most pressing issues facing our society and how architecture can solve these concerns.
My City, My Home: Short Story Contest

Where we live plays a role in who we are. It influences where we go to school, where we work, who we hang out with, everything. Write a short story that captures the emotion, movement, and culture of where you live. How do your characters respond to a world destined for mass urbanization? It can be fictional or based on a true story.
Outer Space: Visions of the Near Future
Register/Submit Deadline: Friday, Jun 7, 2019
Organized by Blank Space (the creators of the Fairy Tales Architecture Competition), The Outer Space competition is seeking proposals that envision space exploration in the near future (100-200 years). What kinds of structures will be developed to move, house and sustain people? How will robotics, AI, autonomous spacecraft, and satellites enhance our reach? The most successful entries in the competition will leverage the real scientific advances being made today to create fantastic visions for the near future.
