How does infrastructure shape our individual and collective environments? That’s the question posed by the 2018 James Harrison Steedman Fellowship in Architecture. Established in 1926, the biennial research competition challenges early-career architects to investigate the fundamental systems, facilities and services that enable, sustain and enhance societal living conditions.
Re-Imagining the Garden City

This international design ideas competition aims to discover new designs for a modern garden city to meet the needs of the 21st century, whilst recapturing the pioneering spirit that led to the development of the world’s first garden city at Letchworth. The competition is seeking master planning concepts for the proposed residential development of a 45 Hectare site to the north of Letchworth, which will be the first expansion of the Garden City in a generation.

Lighting Architecture Movement Project (L A M P) is calling for entries for its 6th annual International Lighting Design Competition, whose theme is “TEXTURE”. The competition aims to introduce lighting design to a broader audience while promoting and connecting emerging talents to new markets. Students, emerging and established designers are all invited to submit entries!
Pavilosta Poet Huts

The Pavilosta Poet Huts architecture competition is tasking participants with delivering designs for residences for visiting poets. The key function of the complex would be to offer free residence to selected poets where they could live and work for a defined period of time. Winning entries will be considered for construction.
