The Forge Prize 2019
Register/Submit Deadline: Wednesday, Jan 16, 2019
Established by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), the prize invites practicing architects to submit proposals for visionary designs that embrace steel as the primary structural component. The Forge Prize is open to all innovative uses of structural steel.
Democratic Umbrella – International Ideas Competition
Register/Submit Deadline: Friday, Feb 15, 2019
Designed by the late Frei Otto, Carlfried Mutschler, and Joachim Langner, the Multihalle was built from 1974-75 for the National Garden Show in Mannheim. The purpose of this competition is to continue the story of the Multihalle after its many years of obscurity through sustainable development. Master's students, recent graduates, and young professional architects are invited to submit proposals.
2019 Architecture & Film Symposium: 'Of performance' - Call for Papers & Creative Work

Building upon the analogous relationship between cinematic processes and built form, the 2019 Architecture & Film Symposium, Of performance, explores ideas that intersect at the development of concept, context, and making in the overlapping domains film and architecture.
