Spiritland Talks: Tom Dixon | 26 July
Leading designers will be discussing their work between playing their favourite tracks in this new series of special evening events hosted by New London Architecture at Spiritland (King's Cross). At this, the first in the series, guests will enjoy a tour of Tom Dixon's new studios, followed by a three-course meal and a conversation about the designer's work and the music that has inspired him.
This Uniqlo Tate Late takes inspiration from the exhibition 'Shape of Light'. There will be the usual mix of music, food, art, and workshops on offer, including a photomontage workshop and a talk from leading photographer Antony Cairns.
If you have children to entertain this summer, make sure that you enrol them on next week's 5-day workshop at the RIBA. They will be tasked with exploring the architecture around them and the idea of perspective and optical illusion. Colourful drawings, models, and collages will teach them about representing the 3D world.
