2018 BSA Unbuilt Architecture and Design
Register/Submit Deadline: Friday, Jun 22, 2018
Unbuilt architectural designs of any project type are eligible including purely theoretical projects and unbuilt client-sponsored projects (buildings, interiors, infrastructure, monuments, etc.).
THINKING - Alternative Designs for Offices
Registration Deadline: Monday, Aug 27, 2018
Submission Deadline: Friday, Aug 31, 2018
The aim of the “thinking” competition is to develop a design proposal for the office typology, intended as a space to process, organize and generate information. In other words, a place for mental work. Participants are urged to create an artifact, merging considerable programmatic innovation and valuable design tools. The proposal can be a device, a piece of furniture, an interior design project, a pavilion, a building or an urban plan.
LA+ ICONOCLAST DESIGN IDEAS COMPETITION
Register/Submit Deadline: Wednesday, Oct 10, 2018
New York's Central Park is devastated in an eco-terrorist attack carried out to protest the loss of the world’s forests. How would you redesign the world's most iconic work of landscape architecture? “By taking on such an iconic site as Central Park, you get to tackle big questions about how we represent and manifest ideals of public health, democracy, and nature,” says jury chair Richard Weller.
