Naoto Fukasawa Installation & Book Signing Event | May 21
180 the Store is excited to host the launch for Naoto Fukasawa's new book: Embodiment. This monumental event will feature a special two-week installation of over 10 different collaborative projects by Fukasawa who will also be present for the book signing on May 21.
Cooper Union 2018 Student Exhibition | Opening on May 22
The Cooper Union's annual student exhibition transforms the classrooms, hallways and studios of the school into galleries showcasing work from the Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture, the School of Art, and the Albert Nerken School of Engineering. The opening reception will be on Tuesday, May 22, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Now What?! Advocacy, Activism, and Alliances in American Architecture since 1968 | Opening on May 24
Opening in Brooklyn, the traveling “Now What?!” exhibition will examine the little-known history of architects and designers working to further the causes of the civil rights, women’s, and LGBTQ movements of the past fifty years. So far, the exhibition will stop by Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Montreal. More locations TBA.
