AIA|LA Emerging Practice Award

The AIA|LA seeks self-nominations for its Emerging Practice Award bestowed as part of the Board of Director's Presidential Honoree suite at the annual Design Awards. The purpose of the award is to recognize notable, innovative achievements in design, community service, education, and service to the profession and the AIA by an architectural firm within Los Angeles that has been in existence for a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 7 years.
2019 AISC Milek Fellowship Call for Proposals

AISC is now accepting proposals for the Milek Fellowship to be awarded in 2019. Each year, AISC selects a promising young university faculty member as the AISC Milek Fellow (formerly the AISC Faculty Fellow), a four-year, $50,000-per-year award.
Monument Avenue: General Demotion/General Devotion

Submission Deadline: Saturday, Dec 1, 2018
In creating their proposals to reimagine Monument Avenue in Richmond, Virginia, participants are asked to consider: its role as an historic urban boulevard, its viability as a 5.4 mile interurban connector, its presence in Richmond given the city’s emergence as a diverse and progressive city, its significance in the history of the United States and in the current debate about Confederate statues in public spaces.
Euro Velo Stops
Registration Deadline: Tuesday, Oct 16, 2018
Submission Deadline: Monday, Nov 12, 2018
Participants are tasked with creating subtle and intriguing designs for rest stop cabins that can be located along the length of the EuroVelo 6 cycle path. The cabins should reflect the European identity, with a design aesthetic that could become iconic in its own right. Each cabin should provide safe, comfortable, and inviting lodgings, where cyclists can rest and refuel.
