Iceland Northern Lights Rooms (last chance to register!)

For the Iceland Northern Lights Rooms architecture competition, participants are tasked with creating the concept for a guest house from which to view this breathtaking spectacle. The guest house would need to be able to permanently accommodate its hosts, as well as providing welcoming temporary accommodation for guests. All winning entries will be put forward for consideration for construction, which is planned to take place in 2019.
Framing Urban Landscapes: 2018 Student Photography Competition
Register/Submit Deadline: Friday, Apr 20, 2018
Open to all students of Architecture in Southern California, the competition celebrates student understanding and appreciation of photography of the built environment. The competition provides opportunities for student photographers to contribute to the discourse on urban image-making. All awarded entries will be exhibited at the Woodbury University Hollywood Outpost Gallery.
Landscape Citizenships: A Symposium – Call for papers
Register/Submit Deadline: Monday, May 7, 2018
Taking place in London's Holborn this November, this symposium seeks to examine landscape citizenships through the lens of landscape justice and landscape democracy, asking questions in the diverse fields of politics, anthropology, sociology, and design among others. Papers are thus invited for this 1-day interdisciplinary symposium to explore notions of landscape citizenship.
Call for Entries: CTBUH 2018 International Student Tall Building Design Competition
Registration Deadline: Monday, Jul 16, 2018
Submission Deadline: Monday, Jul 23, 2018
The goal of the competition is to shed new light on the meaning and value of tall buildings in modern society. Proposals should show evidence of a clear understanding of how considerations of structure, environment, servicing, etc. are as vital to the success of a tall building as the form, materials, aesthetics, etc.
