This week's picks for London architecture and design events

Create and Make – February half term | 12-16 February

Take your budding young designers down to the Design Museum to create 3D models inspired by the Ferrari Exhibit. Make sure to catch the closing days of Beazley Designer of the Year while you are there, ahead of its closure on 15th January.

Architecture on the Thames Central | 10 February

Take to the water to get an alternative view of some of London's most wonderful buildings. With an optional alcoholic hot drink, the wintertime cruise is set to celebrate and embrace a colder Thames.

EUROPA 5: Italy + Switzerland | 13 February

The fifth in the RIBA's Europa  series comes Italy and Switzerland. The evening's speakers will give an insight into the countries' current architectural climates and innovative designs.

London’s Great Estates - supporting growth for the future | 7 February

London's Estates continue to develop and grow in a network of 'little villages' across the city in a way that makes London's urban fabric so unique. This event explores the future of the public realm, homes, work spaces, and culture through the lens of development plans.

Yto Barrada: Agadir | Opens 7 February

This installation, opening on Wednesday, is the first major London commission for the Moroccan artist Yto Barrada. The work draws on the idea of utopian creation, echoing the setting of the historic Barbican, and utilising the sculptural structure of 'The Curve' (the space in which it is set).
