Film screening: “70 Acres in Chicago: Cabrini Green” | January 31

Don't miss this screening of “70 Acres in Chicago: Cabrini Green” at USC. Directed by Ronit Bezalel and filmed over a period of 20 years, “70 Acres in Chicago: Cabrini Green” chronicles the demolition of the city's most infamous public housing development, Cabrini Green, the displacement of residents, and the subsequent area gentrification. Screening will be followed by a conversation between Ronit Bezalel and noted architectural historian and theorist Edward Dimendberg.

SCI-Arc lecture: Jing Liu, “Order Edge Aura” | January 31

Join SO–IL co-founder Jing Liu for a lecture at SCI-Arc, as part of the school's Spring 2018 event series. Co-founded in 2008 by Jing Liu and Florian Idenburg, SO–IL's projects include the Manetti Shrem Museum of Art at the University of California, Dvais and the Kukje Art Gallery in Seoul.
