Book Launch: Joseph Rodriguez's El Barrio in the '80s | December 12

Join the Museum of the City of New York and Union Settlement to celebrate the book launch of “Spanish Harlem: El Barrio in the '80s” by Brooklyn-raised photographer Joseph Rodriguez. He'll discuss his experiences photographing his neighborhood and share stories behind the images, and then sign books afterward.

BUILT | UNBUILT, an event by JDSA, ERNEST & FRIENDS | December 14-15

Part book signing, part exhibition, this launch event celebrates Julien de Smedt Architects’ latest publication “BUILT UNBUILT”, which looks back on 16 years of Julien De Smedt’s work. The BUILT section of the book revisits his work through the lens of photographer Julien Lanoo. In the UNBUILT section, De Smedt discusses a selection of his projects that haven't made it to the built world yet. After the book launch, stay late for the basement party at 394 Broadway.

All the Queens Houses | Closing on December 15

Last chance to see “All the Queens Houses”! Featuring nearly 300 photos, the exhibition is the ongoing photographic survey of architect/artist Rafael Herrin-Ferri, who examines the themes of identity, differentiation, and adaptation in the low-rise housing stock of Queens.
