Hyundai Commission: Superflex - One Two Three Swing! | Until April
After the first few
weeks after opening earlier this month, this playful exhibition has already
flooded Instagram with images of gleeful swinging. SUPERFLEX, the Danish
artists' collective behind the installation hope to create a discussion about
collective energy.
UNIQLO TATE LATES | 27 October
Ending another month, is Uniqlo's TATE LATE at Tate Modern. Promising its usual mix of music, workshops and pop-up talks, this month will be ever much more interactive, thanks to the current Hyundai Commission, Superflex (above).
Radical Projects: Transforming Economies with Architecture | 30 October
This talk explores the way an architectural project can transform its surrounding area's economy and social culture. Mass Design Group have embraced this power created by design since their founding in 2008. Their talk will question the "broader purpose of architecture in the current globalised world, outlining its role in shaping communities that are economically sustainable in the long term".
Architecture on the Thames Central | 28 October
This river tour will take in the landmark buildings of London's embankments, and discusses Nine Elms, Norman Doster, Renzo Piano, and much more. Tickets can include a mulled cider, to warm you up on a late October day.
Reinier de Graaf: Four Walls & A Roof | 31 October
This talk from OMA partner Reinier de Graaf focuses on the what drives the architectural profession in 2017, and reflects on his own experience in the field.
Measure Draw Build: An Exhibition by George Saumarez Smith | Until 26 November
ADAM Architecture's director, George Saumarez Smith, takes centre stage in this exhibition at the RIBA headquarters, opening this week.
