2024 NOMA National Student Design Competition
Registration/Submission Deadline: Saturday, October 12, 2024
"The design team must propose a masterplan and architectural design for a new multi-modal transit center to serve the immediate West Baltimore community and the greater Baltimore metropolitan region. The project must consider the existing transit corridors to remain, improvements to existing transit corridors, and the future installation of the new Red Line. The project should demonstrate an understanding of local and regional transportation planning as well as articulate the impact the proposed transit hub will have on the adjacent neighborhoods."
MPavilion Season 11 Expressions of Interest

"CALL OUT: Expressions of interest are now open for ‘Every Living Thing’. Running from 15 February – 6 March 2025, this series reimagines what it means to coexist with life beyond ourselves. Our world is home to much more than just humans, yet our urban spaces centre human needs. Reframing our relationship with the natural world, the program will explore alternative modes of cohabitation with all living things, from animals to plants, fungi to microbes. Whether your interests lie in design, art, architecture, music, technology, or beyond, we ask: how can we consider every living thing."
Behr Paint Student Design Competition
Registration/Submission Deadline: Sunday, November 10, 2024
"Behr Paint invites design students to submit an original design plan for any commercial space such as hospitality, workplace, healthcare, multifamily and more. The design theme, “No Clear Boundaries,” draws inspiration from the BEHR 2025 Commercial Color Forecast, which celebrates the fluidity between designed environments that reflect the intersection of the past and future, digital and physical, and timeless and modern. Entrants must incorporate colors from the BEHR 2025 Commercial Color Forecast in their design along with BEHR’s2025 Color of the Year, Rumors, a deep and timeless shade of ruby red."
2025 Edmund N. Bacon Student Urban Design Competition
Registration/Submission Deadline: Friday, January 31, 2025
"The student design competition attracts undergraduate and graduate students from around the globe and the competition focuses on an area or location in Philadelphia. Students are challenged to present bold ideas that will improve the area, while prioritizing community needs as a core tenet of design excellence."
