Henning Larsen has won an international competition to deliver a new green corridor design to Singapore in collaboration with Ramboll, Cistri, Gehl, Participate in Design, and Camphora. According to their announcement page, the North-South Corridor project includes four key sections, among them a 6-kilometer (3.7-mile) Community-Industrial segment; 7km (4.35mi) Ecological Loop; 5km (3.1mi) People’s Wellness Corridor; and a 3.5km (2.18mi) Cultural Heritage Segment.
The firm says local stakeholders will play an active role in the collaborative co-design process. Leonard Ng, Henning Larsen's Market Director for the country, shared: "We are building a corridor that will grow and adapt with Singapore, ensuring our city remains resilient, inclusive, and vibrant for generations to come."
