The Competition, which has its UK premiere at the Barbican tonight, follows the trials and tribulations of five stellar practices competing in a doomed bid to build a new national museum for Andorra, back in 2009. As the global financial crisis hit rock-bottom, no job was too small for architects whose dreams of dotting Middle Eastern deserts with their snazzy signatures had been revealed as a hopeless mirage. — theguardian.com

That looks like it will be hilarious. Do you think theaters will supply barf bags?
I was naive to think Nouvel was a cool guy. And he likes just 'normal' holes.
I was thinking more along the line....he is an Ass-Hole! Then again maybe he likes Ass-holes cause he likes himself.
nouvel is an a-hole
AWESOME-HOLE!!!
Merde.
D'après JN, plutôt 'putain'.
Rather than showing what a jerk Nouvel might be or how arbitrary Gehry's process is (surprise!), it shows how hollow the top of the profession is. This is what so many young architects in training aspire to.
What's so hollow about it? They're trying to win a competition
nouvel is a (thoughtful) a-hole...
better?
What's so hollow about it?
EGO.
The project program is a tertiary concern, if that. Especially when the starchitects are in direct competition.
I dont like you enough. Maybe Ill turn you upside down and better like you that way. There....stroke of siuneg!
solving the project program is the easy part. Especially when starchitects are in direct competition with each other.
and most projects are better upside-down. .deedni suineG
I will have Colin Wilson from Beyond the Outsider sum it up followed by Smashing Pumpkins.... "The Marques de Sade wrote a curious pamphlet called - Frenchman, one more effort if you want to be Republican, in which he told his countrymen that they should follow their execution of the king with the execution of God. And he took in one stride the step that has taken other European thinkers a century and a half of nervous edging forward: the idea that values are relative, and that therefore all men should adopt Rabelais’s motto: ‘Do what you will’. In a sense, De Sade’s pamphlet might be regarded as the true assault on the Bastille. it was the first great gesture of romanticism: the formulation of the question: ‘Why is man not a God?’........... "Emptiness is loneliness, and loneliness is cleanliness And cleanliness is godliness, and god is empty just like me"........and there you have it kids, the Starchitect of our imaginations.
There are some situations where turning someone upside down is more than appropriate.
