three of the four make cheap trendy crap- diller being the worst of that bottom of the barrel lot. sfmoma probably will not pick foster because they can't afford him. and adjaye desperately needs work now, since he was on the verge of bankruptcy last year and has taken to snapping photos and calling it art and designing underwear.

didn't see that shortlist comin from 500,000 miles away. (sarcasm)
i'd have expected the shortlisted firms to be more closely aligned, i.e., similar. from this list, it seems apparent that not only has sfmoma not picked their architect - they don't know what they want.
if they have a vision for the institution, these architects are divergent enough that i think the decision will be relatively easy.
