I'm excited to welcome Übertect to Archinect. Übertect is a comic strip by London-based artist Alison Moffett, whom you may remember was featured here on Archinect in January. Alison has collaborated with Kenneth Moffett, her architect-father and writer of this comic, who the Übertect character is based on.
Today we serve up episode 1:

pretty weak and superficial as criticism or satire. disappointing, as alison moffett's previously featured drawings are so extraordinary.
"...but not OK enough."
I like it!
I always used the term "uberarchitect" to mean someone who took the exams the minute they finished their internship and passed them all the first time through. This characterization has had to change a bit with the computer exam, but I still use it for someone driven and very knowledgeable.
You all could read it? I guess I'm the only one that a difficult time actually reading it, even as an enlarged image.
BRILLIANT! TIMELY! SUBLIME! PROFOUND! Beware ye builders of banal buildings! Prepare to meet thy doom! Ubertect has no patience with your expressionistic excercises and your deconstructionist demogogary! There are eyes in the Sun Sphere and they are watching you!
HAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Excellent Moffett! Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!
i am not sure if this is a comment on starchitects and their egocentric creations (which i am not sure renzo's academy would fall under), or the self-righteous turtleneck-wearing better-than-thou arch-critics, whose depth of criticism is summarized as "not ok enough" -
i'd only find this interesting if it attacks both -
simples, perhaps the ambiguity is intentional?
In the words of Alison, the creator of this series, this is intended to be pure "silliness". Please don't take it too serious.
The Übertect character is actually based on her father, an architect, who provides the text.
"silly"????? "SILLY"????
there is no "silly" in ARCHITECTURE !!!!! : )
Übertect is really fun and text is very comical and beautifully timed on the strip.
great job alison moffett and her dad!
Hey I like that building! Leave it alone! LOL
I love that the style of the drawing and lettering is so spot on... I find that more satirical than the comic itself.
will de young museum in the background be next?? hard to tell. it doesn't have 'dingle dangles off the side' but who knows what übertect will see on it. i wonder if he is going to remodel some buildings-read, trim- or do interiors? i wonder if he is eyeing some stuff in los angeles as well? i am wondering if he works in urban scale and does some regional planning?
meanwhile in the apple store in santa monica mall...... people were cautiously finding out what happened in san francisco recently... was the tablet pc ok enough???

Why it's the Renzo Piano Bar - lets take it out on free thursdays when everyone is too drunk to notice - they were going to fall in the shark tank anyway.

Übertect will be a bi-weekly feature. The next one will be Monday May 3.
