Archinect's Architecture School Lecture Guide for Winter/Spring 2014
Archinect's Get Lectured is up and running again for the Winter/Spring '14 term! As a refresher from our Fall 2013 guide, every week we'll feature a school's lecture series—and their snazzy posters—for the current season. If you're not doing so already, be sure to keep track of any upcoming lectures you don't want to miss.
We have our second Australian poster from the University of Queensland, School of Architecture with their Spring lecture series, “720+", named after the Dewey system code for architecture.
"There are parallels between the various tasks of an architecture school and the role of the contemporary library. More than just being places where one finds existing, static information, they are places that generate new knowledge...The series builds on this relationship, bringing together leading designers and thinkers, award-winners and provocateurs who are each engaged in the generation of new knowledge and will give the audience something to think about."
Want to share your school's lecture series? Send us your school's lecture series poster and details to connect@archinect.com.
Listed below are upcoming lectures only. Lectures take place on Tuesdays at 6 pm for a 6:30 pm talk (cash bar and cheese). The venue is Auditorium 1, Level 2, State Library of Queensland. Tickets are free, but RSVP is required.
