Today ten proposals were submitted to French president Nicolas Sarkozy, to redesign Paris. Some of the architects invited to submit proposals include Richard Rogers, Christian de Portzamparc, Jean Nouvel, and MVRDV. To read more, and see all the proposals visit Bustler
On a related note, we've made some updates to Bustler recently, and plan to make many more in the coming weeks given the recent surge in architects regaining interest in events and competitions, surely attributed to the less-than-satisfactory employment conditions right now. One of the most exciting new additions includes our new Guest Curator program. We will be asking members of our community to curate Events and Competitions to share with our community. John Hill, NYC-architect and author of the Daily Dose of Architecture, is our first guest curator. He's already compiled a thorough list of lectures in and around NYC, so go take a look... and let us know if you would like to be an upcoming curator. We're looking for active members of the architecture/design community to select events in their region, perhaps with a theme of personal interest.
