I'm confused why this is garnering so much news in the last week or so. This prize was announced in October of '08.
Yeah, Glancey even had an article about it about it back then see here, i think that was just an easy lead in to the interview.
I've been seeing "siza wins riba gold" news blurbs all over the place... but it's kind of old news. (this is in reference to the fact that he won the award - not your news posting - which is a relevant link to a new article/interview)

there is less archi news now! spin season is upon us!
few projects under construction near finish will get tons of press but no new contracts.
