SHoP is taking over new york but at the same time their "style" or formula seems to verge on self parody at this point. They really know exactly how much to "press the contemporary button" to some how get developer approval while keeping critics silent, but lets not kid ourselves about the merits of these projects... The one good side though is that SHoP is undoubtedly run and staffed by smart people, so at least we can expect follow through and perhaps some interesting developments in BIM usage and prefab. You guys arent seriously comparing your project to the UN building inside of the office right?
