Libeskind became very defensive when Italy's Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, described his design for an art museum and office tower as "impotent". There is now speculation that this dispute may lead to a cancellation of Libeskind's contract. The Independent

I'm sorry, but it does look really pathetic compared to the two towers next to it.
Why does "The Independent" decide to start a polemic about this incident now in July when it dates back to April this year. Read one of the original articles (in italian) with Libeskind's response on "Il Corriere Della Sera":

Monument to Il Duce's dick in an architectural setting!
A perfect triptych. Now it's good. Libeskind's best.
I actually like it better than the other two. The "impotent" bent makes me think it is Libeskind's "humble" architecture.
i like it too, perhaps in real life it would make a better and much more likable building than the other two. it is an unfortunate rendering for libeskind and i also suspect there is an underlying anti jewish element to it. i expect something like that from berlusconi, given his track record and previous statements on racial issues. he is also a bully and a thug.
it looks more like faucet.. hmmm maybe also.... yes, yes. ;.)

Whether one likes the building or not, Libeskind's comment is comparably aggressive coming from an architect. Consider also his stance on working in China... I'm rather surprised!
Libeskind's design shows unprecedented form in architecture. I'd see something innovative, something fresh in which most architects are not willing to explore!
Please, this crap has been done before by people more suited to idiotic forms like this than Liebskind. Forget it, the building sucks - it does look flaccid - start over.
i forgot about droopy...
Its not unprecendented or innovative. Its nothing more than just a glazed shard of 20's German Expressionism...
Short & ugly.
They say dogs resemble their owner, maybe builidngs also resemble their designer.
Libeskind is a nut.
Meh...Libeskind's designs have become caricatures of themselves.
Shardé anyone?
As a designer I would get pretty worried if Silvio B. would actually like my work...
Imagine... the picture provided as the first sequence of an animation. Imagine... the curved tower straightening itself in a choreographed prologue.
The potential energy amassed in that curved expression is suggestive of a full rise stretching more proudly over the other commercial erections.
It's a shame that Libeskind's contract is lost over miscommunication, especially after paying for that rendering.
It seems that Berlusconi and Libeskind are compatible. They are both publicly viewed as 'bent' 'in a good way'. Berlusconi feels free to share his personal aesthetic opinion, which is compatible with the anti-fascist statement made by Libeskind's curved gesture.
The curve is a position that is poised and prepared to rise. It's an exciting moment. It is sometimes a more powerful statement to show the vulnerable position. A strictly erect posture is not necessary to understand potential.
What are we watching exactly? ... the tower, Libeskind's comeback after WTC, or Italy's political panache?
World renowned clown, Daniel Libeskind's usual "schtick" is to create some dumb-ass shape that he assumes is "new architecture". Any fool can make an unusual form. But few architects are genuinely creative and poetic. It is laughable to think that some one like Libeskind would ever be compared to a true professional like, for example, Carlo Scarpa or Renzo Piano. Libeskin's following is mostly among naive and inexperienced students who haven't really figured out what quality is all about. For the mature professional, Libeskind is just a self-promoting jackass with stupid-looking glasses.
