warning: do not wear this shoe around goats
please. architects. stop. making. shitty. products.
United or not, she shouldn't be doing anything nude. Anything.
actually this is interesting. but i'm wondering how it works. there's no heel support; does the wearer balance herself solely on the frontal part of the foort? or does the heel rest on that mid height platform? i.e. actually the foot sits on the heels. motion generated by the frontal part of the foot, then heel resting on the platform. can someome please try them on and tell us what they think
I have the United Nude Eamz pump.
It has a metal structure under the arch that allows the cantilevered heel to be quite strong, and honestly doesn't feel significantly different from walking in any pair of heels. I imagine Zaha's shoe is structured similarly. That said, in my opinion, while this shoe might be comfortable enough to wear, it is blisteringly ugly. But my preference has never been for a shoe that tries to hide the shape of the foot.
Haven't we seen enough absolute shit designed by the very people who should be publicly leading the charge to sustainability?
Guaranteed you'll never see Zaha wearing these. Or sitting in or using any of the furniture she's designed.
Baaaa. People are such sheep.
I agree ^
thing is that sustainability is often avoided by the starchitects because it would contradict much of their work and put them into a funny hypocritical position when accepting the new gigantic monstrosity in China. Easier to just ignore it, or to adopt some nihilist philosophy.
