i feel like i've come of age in terms of architectural education just around the time that eero saarinen's work is just beginning to win mainstream respect in the architectural community (at least from what i've read), and i'm glad of that. i think it clearly deserves respect, attention, preservation in many cases, and admiration for what we may have previously been reluctant to admit it did for the progress of architectural theory and design. His work is an unusual and untimely mix of pragmatism and humanism, I think.
